But it's done, and the pattern is up. It's called Roo, and it's really cute if I do say so myself :)

So one of the more common side-effects of Ibuprofen is a rash, and a less common side-effect is swelling of the face. And I distinctly remember taking Ibuprofen before the last three face-swelling incidents.

MYSTERY SOLVED.

I don't know if this means I'm allergic to it or not, but I'm definitely switching to something else when I get a headache or cramps.

I need to figure out how to chart the cable in this tutorial because I have a sweater I want to make and that would be perfect for it.

It's a more complicated version of the cable in Eunny Jang's Tangled Yoke Cardigan, but I want it vertical instead of horizontal.

... And here is a close-up of something similar to what I want, in enough detail that I can chart out and modify it :D (It's from an Alice Starmore pattern, good luck finding that in a library or a bookstore.)

Boxed up almost all my DVDs today -- I say 'almost all' because there are a few that I know I have that are AWOL. I know I lent out Avatar v.1 and Duckman v.1/v.2 to Jennie and Molly Ann respectively, but there are a few more that I know I have that are just plain missing.

(I suspect they're buried somewhere in my room and I'll find them once I start on my books and manga.)

- I've started packing :O I've only filled two boxes with all my CDs, but it's a start. Not as scary or difficult as I had feared.

- Enter The Haggis, a Toronto-based celtic rock band, is my new current musical obsession. And their song One Last Drink is on perpetual repeat.

- I found out about them from listening to Cast On, a knitting podcast by an American woman who lives in Wales with her wife. I really know nothing about podcasts, so links to other good ones (knitting-related or not) would be appreciated.

- This is all tempered by the fact that I had a pretty nasty dream last night. I don't remember most of it, but towards the end I had to bludgeon a good friend into unconsciousness :(

I was not made for summer.

I got overheated today and then had to lie down until I no longer felt like I was going to throw up.

We might have a new player for the game! ... who won't be able to join until September. (But since in the last month we've only had one session that might not be too far away.)

And his girlfriend's name starts with a 'J', just like everyone else's current (or most recent former) girlfriend. Seriously, I am not kidding: Jess, Jing, Jackie, and now Julie.

... I think this means I need to ditch Warren and take up with jbash.

Wonderful. Another hives flare-up on my face and neck. I've already taken two loratadine tablets, and Mom left out some of her heavy-duty antihistamine for me to use in case it gets worse (although I doubt it will).

It's probably something I ate, since it's more concentrated around my mouth. But it's not easy to make a list of what I ate today because I went to a chocolate fondue party and had a bit of everything :/

( But I'll give it a try anyway... )

Obviously, next time I see my doctor (which is in about a month or so) I'm going to ask him for a referral to an allergist.
